did they really just playback the last minute or so of the last episode? fckin garbage animation company... plot went no where... waste a time to watch this weekly, better to just wait a month and watch a bunch of episodes. This is why no one watches this sht!

If you read my comments explaining this, I warned there will be 10 or more political episodes and "story going nowhere" might be there for people who expect action.

He needs to create stable faction that can contend with enemy as large as he is facing now. Not only are there 3 big families, there is also part of royal family and when you count everyone this is not anything he could fight at his level. Enemies have quite a few Martial Kings (Wu Wang) and even Martial Sovereigns (not 100% on this one, it is quite long since I read this part, but Kings are a norm) which by itself is beyond his fighting ability. At this point he is only Later Wuzong and there is still Wuzun before Wuwang.

They actually cut quite a few double step content. They skip introductions and only show full reveal. In this part they skipped it 3 times at least. First was cutting out how prince was trying to help friends with academy and settlement to be put down by 3rd prince. Then it was elder Xu Bo introduction to pill pavilion state and various strong ppl in the kingdom and the local factions. Then it was whole thing how he sent his slave with explanation (you only see it when he says or shows things on the spot). In a way it is harder to watch and follow, but in a way this shortens this political part by 7-10 episodes

no they didnt. your thinking of the review they showed last week. the only down side is how short it is. its not crap. the crap ones is all those normal drawing anime that game out like a drawn flip book this year. if this is garbage what do you think is good.

Not the actual visual animation! I'm talking about how it takes months for a guy to walk up a flight of stairs or to walk to the store of some sht. Its the length of the episodes , we get what 2 5 minutes episodes a week. You would think if they did that they would progress things a lot faster instead the slow it down even more. One episode literally can be about a person walking down a flight a stairs.

Notice how most of these short 5 min chinese shows have like 5 10 or 15 comments. Then go to their 20 minute shows and they have the normal amount of comments like any japanese show, Soul Land, BTTH, Martial Universe, Kings Avatar, Swallowed Star, Outcasts, Full Time Magister. People love that sht, mainly cause its a full meal every week, not crumbs and appetizers, people basically starve to death and get turned off... You can get a general idea about how many people are watching from the comments, most of the short shows have zero lol. 5 comments for today? Meanwhile BTTH already has 30. I'm just saying, most of these 5 minute appetizer shows, I just wait for someone on youtube to compile like 5 or 10 episodes into one.

I really have to disagree on this one. Animation so far reached somewhere around ch.750. That is a progress of 3 chapters per episode.

When you compare it to Soul Land... Novel has 336 (shorter chapters, mind it). Soul Land so far had exactly 225 episodes and they reached somewhere around 280-290.

It goes even more when you say anything about climbing stairs and then praise Soul Land after that. Ffs, they climbed those god damn stairs in SL for 10 or more episodes. Swallowed Star wasted more episodes this season on non-content than actual content.

In terms of content, I fully prefer this and Against Sky Supreme over Swallowed Star, Soul Land... The only exceptions are WDQK and BTTH which make decent progress over story per episode

I don't read Chinese novels, so my perspective is completely different from yours! You already know what happens! So things that u see as filler are just part of the show to me. Against the Sky Supreme is another one I like but these short episodes just ruin it for me. Let me try an better analogy, imagine if you were watching Naruto, One Piece or Bleach, and the 20 minutes you got every week turned to two 5 minute episodes a week, and now you gotta wait 2 weeks for one weeks worth of content. Its not about the plot pacing, its just not enough. Who does 5 minute episodes? If I got 4 5 minutes episodes a week I would be cool! These shows are good but you only get this much weekly? Its like someone took my bottle of liquor and filled it with half water...... JUST GIVE ME 20 MINUTES A WEEK LIKE THE REST OF THE GOD DMN WORLD!!!!! This is why the term "Made in China" has a negative connotation to it, they didn't cheap out on quality but the sure as fck cheaped out on the length, ie same difference lol. Its Quality AND Quantity, they forgot the quantity part....

Your point is understandable, but it doesn't change the fact that SL used 10+ weeks just for us to watch them climb stairs and animation is... well... horrible quality. That is waaaaay beyond boring and pointless content. In that case I'd be thankful if episode only lasted 1min and spared me wasting 19min. In fact most SL episodes only have 1min of content and 19min of exaggerated dick swinging. Or Swallowed star, let's just take last episode (I won't even bother about wasting 20min of my time on pointless hamburger date). Last episode was whole fight, but animation was like flashing standstill pose every second. In fact animation was so bad, I decided on dropping it.

Naruto, One Piece or Bleach... you sure could find better ones for your example, couldn't you? ;) Naruto was like 90% dumb filler episodes where you saw it is a filler just from bad quality. One Piece (dropped it around 900 episodes) has about 1min of content per episode, while you waste 19min on watching dick swinging, pointless laughing and repetitive nonsensical comments. Bleach was about the same as Naruto, just not as bad... at least some filler arcs were not god dawg crime against artist creation, only problem is that whole last arc which will air now... is bad in a criminal way (read manga after it was unfinished for so many years... and I am really sorry I did), no way I'd waste 1min to watch it. If only I could forget last arc, Bleach animation didn't end bad at all.

I just picked some from the top and most notable. As for SL , didn't they half a bunch of episodes cause of covid? I am pretty sure it was that arc where they started doing that, so it would seem that way. I don't read manga so I wouldn't know what was filler or not, but 99% filler is gross overestimate, its more like 50% lol! But thats the thing when you go from comics to the big screen. Comics are just ink and paper, a lot easier to make money, you start airing things on television and you gotta make $$$$ period , and if you are making money, you are going to capitalize on that! I would rather them make money, so the show actually continues, instead of a lot of shows that get 1 or 2 seasons and its a wrap. One Piece is beast on its own, they make shit tons of money on merchandising, and I don't watch One Piece for years and then watch entire arcs. Like I just caught up cause I have been letting it simmer for like a year or 2, and just caught up on Wano Arc. Before that I stopped after Whole Cake Island arc. One Piece actually follows the manga closely versus Naruto, One Piece Filler is for like movies premieres. One Piece has been airing for 20 years and has a very large demographic so they have the clout to do whatever they want!

Seriously? I never read Naruto manga, but I could pinpoint exactly what the filler content is. First, sub quality episodes badly written, often unrelated to story and then some even clash with the true content. All you need to know is this, so far Boruto (don't read it either) for example had 30 episodes worth of manga content, that is why everything else is so subpar and filler content

Hmm, you should count SL episodes. 25 in 1st season and exactly 200 so far in 2nd.

Also, math is a bit wrong on your side. This animation has exactly 5 min of story content (no opening and ending counted) per episode and 2 episodes per week. This is 10min, which is not far from 16min of content from 20min episodes. But, the real catch is that this series is not having any breaks at all and runs whole year while almost all 20min run 20+ episodes and have half year break. So far this one had exactly 1330min=22,17hour=83 20min episodes of content of pure content without a single second of filler content while airing from Mar 8, 2020
